Vogue
Magazine 1909 - 1950
Vogue was first published
in America in 1909. In 1916 when, due to submarine activity in the North
Atlantic, it was no longer easy to import the American edition, the British
edition of Vogue was established.
In the late twenties
it was published fortnightly, with extra issues for such public events
as a Coronation, a State Visit or a Royal Wedding. This pattern of publication
continued until the paper restrictions of WWII enforced a change to monthly
issues. I usually have Vogue magazines for sale either as single issues
or in complete years.
